Changelog #2: Notifications, event chat and shared crates

Rigside now tells you when something happens: a reply, a like or a new follower. Alongside it this week: event pages rebuilt around the conversation, crates you can share, and a new track page.

Notifications

A bell in the top bar counts what's new since you last looked: replies to your posts and comments, likes, and new followers, with Follow back right there. Open it for the latest, or see everything on your notifications page.

Coming next week: Updates, a daily line with new tracks and events from artists you follow, such as "S.P.Y and 5 others have new music". It will roll out on the web and in the app through the week.

Event pages

Event pages now put the conversation in the middle. Activity opens with the event's announcement, then shows comments, who's going, and posts from the night's artists. Switch to Official to see only the event and its artists. If nobody has said anything yet, tap a starter like "Who's going?" or "Set times?".

The details sit on the left, with Going? and Tickets side by side. The lineup and other nights at the venue are on the right, as on FABRICLIVE: Planet V below. You can reply to, like and report comments, as you can on Activity.

Shared crates

Add anyone to a crate by their username and they can add and remove tracks with you. There's no invite to accept, so they can start straight away. Crates you share show up on your profile alongside your own, and All, Created and Shared filters help you find them.

Your own crates now have a ⋯ menu on the web to add people, rename the crate or delete it. Shared crates are in the app too.

A new track page

Track pages put the cover on the left and everything about the track on the right: length, release date, where to listen, plays and how the week went. Listen shows each platform as a tile, and you can play a track there without leaving the page. More from the artist, the label and the style follows underneath, as on Ill Truth's Dry Socket.

For artists and labels

The artist console now opens on Analytics, showing how an artist's profile and tracks are doing on Rigside. Artist and label pages that nobody has claimed yet show an "Is this you?" link to claim them. There's more on the way for artists and labels soon.

List your event

Promoters, venues and crews can send us their nights with List your event, on Explore events, city and country pages, and anywhere a list comes up empty. Missing your local scene? Tell us about it in the same form.

The Request or list your event form, with name, email, country, city and a link to the event
